Common questions
What's the difference between send-based and contact-based?
Send-based means you pay for each email you send, and you can have unlimited contacts on your list. Great for big lists that only email a few times a month. Contact-based means you pay for each person on your list, and you can email them as often as you want. Great for daily or weekly senders.
Does every plan really include every feature?
Yes. Automation, A/B testing, segments, analytics, forms, landing pages, and the full builder, every bit of it. The only thing that changes between tiers is volume (contacts or sends) and a couple of infrastructure perks at the top end (dedicated IPs, named CSM, SLA). Pick the tier that matches your volume; the toolkit is the same.
Does the free plan remove the Vaakio footer from emails?
No. Every email sent on the free Spark plan includes a small “Sent with Vaakio” footer. It's how we keep the free tier genuinely free: no card, no countdown, no catch. Upgrade to any paid plan (Starter and up) and the footer disappears immediately, on every send already scheduled.
Can I switch between the two meters?
Yep, any time, instantly, with zero downtime. Log in, pick the other meter, and we'll prorate the current billing cycle. We'll even nudge you to switch if we spot you'd save money on the other side.
What happens if I go over my limit?
We won't surprise-bill you. You'll see a friendly notice in-app prompting you to upgrade, and sends continue running for 14 days while you decide. Pick the next tier whenever it makes sense.
How does the price-match promise work?
Find a comparable plan on Mailchimp, Brevo, Constant Contact, AWeber, Klaviyo, GetResponse, or any major competitor at a lower price, send us the link, and we'll match it for your first year. If we can't, your first month's on us.
Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or education?
30% off any paid plan for registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits and accredited educational institutions. Contact our team with proof of status and we'll apply it to your account.
Is there a setup fee or contract?
Never. No setup fees, no contracts, no per-seat add-ons. Month-to-month, and you can cancel any time in two clicks.
